PM Supports Hydropower Partnership between Cambodia's Royal Group and China's CNEE

BEIJING: On the afternoon of October 16, Prime Minister Hun Manet met with Kang Hubiao, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Genertec International, the parent company of China National Energy Engineering. & Construction Company (CNEE) while participating in the Third Belt and Road Forum in Beijing.

The Chinese businessman thanked the Prime Minister for taking the time to meet with him and informed him of Genertec’s history, which started in 1998. The company focuses on manufacturing, health investment and overseas investment and plans to collaborate with the Royal Group of Cambodia to invest in hydropower.

The Prime Minister appreciated the meeting and expressed his support for the partnership between Royal Group of Cambodia and CNEE of China in the investment project. He hopes that the company will expand its investment to other areas in which it specializes in the future.
